Welcome to San Diego
Welcome to San Diego, affectionately known as “America’s Finest City”. The city of San Diego rests in the very most southern region of California. The city’s landscape is unique, natives can enjoy the calm of the ocean, escape and find serenity in the local mountains, or bask in the simplicity of the desert.
Swimmers and sunlovers are drawn to the excellent surf conditions and soft sand San Diego beaches offer. The City’s reservoirs provide a variety of outdoor activities, such as boating, fishing, and hiking. El Capitan is the only reservoir that allows the use of personal watercraft, such as jetskis. Swim, splash and play with the Park & Recreation Aquatics Program.
San Diego’s miles and miles of publicly owned open space and preserves provide outdoor recreation and scenic beauty. Recreation centers throughout the City offer a variety of recreational activities. Mission Trails Regional Park encompasses nearly 5,800 acres of both natural and developed recreational areas for hiking and overnight camping.
The City of San Diego is proud to host hundreds of special events each year. Petco Park and Qualcomm Stadium also offer special events. Mission Bay Park, the West Coast’s largest aquatic park, covers more than 4,000 acres and offers a wide range of recreational activities. San Diego is also an important natural harbor, an attractive tourist attraction and resort destination. The renaissance experienced by downtown San Diego, encumbers the essence of urban living, with quarters like working lofts, utilities, and high rise multimillion dollar condos.
Each year new residents and industries are polarized by San Diego. A nondescript town until the 1940s, San Diego now has more than 1.2 million residents, making San Diego, California’s second largest city. San Diego’s phenomenal growth has brought it well-deserved national attention. The city keeps this growth balanced by careful preservation of history and a strong emphasis on art, culture, and recreation.
Real estate in San Diego is ever increasing in value for obvious reasons, the mild climate, the stability of the City’s economy, and the universal mantra of all real estate professionals; location, location, location. One of the reasons property value in areas of San Diego is able to command such a large price tag, is because San Diego’s boarder reaches to the ocean front.
