Trulia released a report recently that compares the cost of renting vs. the cost of buying in major cities around the U.S. Although Mered is not a Major city it does allow us to see where the trend is going in which our city usually follows. Trulia did not do its study on Merced but given the input of most Realtors in town, Merced follows suit to this study. See the charts below to find the results of this study.
