Our team gets asked this question a lot this time of year. The answer is if you are going to list your home the holidays are a great time to get it on the market. In December a lot of companies have employees that are transferring to the Kansas City metro area and will be needing to start their new position in January. They will be looking at homes and will be serious about buying. If you have your home on the market during the holidays you know the buyers that are looking will be serious about buying. You may have less showings but they will be ready to buy. Now, can you decorate your home for the holidays while it is on the market?….YES please do otherwise it will not feel comfortable.
