One thing becomes clear when working with Kevin Grenier and that is his keen desire to ensure you get an exceptional level of care. Despite his fantastic success in the real estate industry, including achievement awards for sales and customer service both at a local and international level, as well as authoring a book on real estate, Kevin never forgets his humble background and remains approachable and personable with a genuine interest in the well being of those around him. Raised on the family farm just outside of Alberta Beach, with his 8 siblings until he was seven, Kevin recalls a simpler life filled with simple pleasures. "We didn't have much but we didn't know any better, we had our imaginations." Kevin's mom, Bjorg, was an extremely big influence on the type of man Kevin would later become. "My mom deserves a gold medal for what she went through." Saddled with the responsibility of raising the children alone, the family dynamic changed further when Bjorg had to provide for the family soley on her own. She managed to do this by taking over the failing gas station which had by that time creditors threatening to stop the supply lines. The older sisters took over the household duties and kept Kevin in line while Kevin's mom traveled to Spruce Grove daily to work with Kevin's younger 4 yr old sister in tow. "That was the end of my idyllic life on the farm and when a seven year old boy, faced with reality began to ask the tough questions, namely why? It was also when I began to have a profound appreciation for the woman I called mom." Between customers and after meals, the lessons of life bestowed on Kevin included, 'Put yourself in the other person's shoes', 'Patience is a virtue', 'We're all created equally', 'Money doesn't grow on trees', 'Watch out for those girls', 'Think before you act' and many more. Bjorg took the business and turned it into a success - many oldtimers from the Spruce Grove area will recall knowing "B" at the Speedway Gas station on Main St. It was a place where you got more than a tank full, you were treated like a friend. Although Bjorg is now no longer with us in body she remains alive in her children who have become successful each one of them in their own right - Ken of Stony TV & Appliance Centre, Doug of DA Building in Lethbridge, Ron & Greg of Atlas Auto & Exhaust, Myrna a successful Edmonton accountant, Debbie & Karen both Registered Nurses and care givers and Brenda a Vancouver wholistic practitioner. Kevin's passion for real estate began at 18 when he bought his first investment property. Later he bought, renovated and sold homes. In the early 90's Kevin began assisting one of the top Realtors in Edmonton and from that experience wrote a book on Real Estate. Finally in 2006 after having success with Atlas Auto & Exhaust, Kevin got his real estate professional designation and from year one has consistently been in the Realty Executives' 100% Club and the Executive Club for his high level of production and commitment to customer service. A portion of every transaction Kevin does is donated to the Realtors' Community Foundation which has donated since 1986 over 2.2 million dollars to Edmonton and area charities as well as Edmonton's Food Bank.
