New York State is best-known for its namesake city. New York City is truly all things to all people. It is the country’s financial engine, a cultural treasure, and home to some of the world’s finest universities. “The City” has always been a gateway to America for immigrants, and the multitude of cultures reflected in its neighborhoods, languages, and cuisines have helped create a blend unique to New York. Whatever your needs, if it exists, it exists here, and the Big Apple has never been safer, cleaner, or more exciting than today.

New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the world's finest museums.
Outside of the city, New York runs the gamut from suburban sleeper communities to small towns to rural villages. Our natural beauty is unparalleled. Adirondack Park provides hiking, camping, boating and outdoor activities in a peaceful, protected setting larger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, or the state of Vermont. The Catskills bring nature close to the City. Niagra Falls continues to enchant generations of visitors.
If sports are your style, New York is a paradise, hosting multiple NHL, NFL, NBA, and MLB teams, as well as hundreds of college and minor league teams. From sophisticated nightlife to awe-inspiring national beauty, New York has it all.
Weather

New York’s climate varies by location, bust is fairly typical of the Northeast. We have warm summers, fairly cold winters, and some of the most beautiful fall foliage in the world. Summer highs in New York City can run into the mid-80s, while Winter lows in Syracuse can drop as low as 14 degrees.
Real Estate
New York combines the best of both worlds–maintaining its history and beauty, but growing and adapting to new challenges. As a result, New York’s real estate market is vibrant and fast moving, and as varied as its geography and people. Whether you’re looking for a starter home, a secluded woodland getaway, a downtown condominium, or the mansion of your dreams, New York has something fantastic to offer.
