Phoenix , Scottsdale Real Estate Market on the Move! More Retail sales and fewer listings

For people watching Phoenix, PV, Carefree, Scottsdale home figures. The figures were just released for March.  Please see the end of this article to see the figures.

Well, it looks as if the majority of the Zip codes my brother and I keep an eye on are moving up.

The areas in Phoenix near the Scottsdale border are still a little sluggish but the more expensive areas and best schools districts are very positive for sellers.  You will find that all areas listed are falling in numbers of listings and sells of family homes have gone up in numbers and most in price.

You will also notice that the average of days on market have increased, meaning buyers are picking up old inventory.  A couple of areas show very little increase in price per sq foot but most not discounted much off asking price.

March Home Sales in Phoenix Area Hit 66 Month High

The Phoenix Business Journal reported yesterday that March marked the most home sales in 66 months for the Phoenix area.  The news article starts by saying:

“Good news on the residential real estate front. The 9,933 Phoenix-area sales transactions that closed in March marks the most sales in 66 months, according to the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service Inc. monthly statistics report. It’s also the fifth highest sales month since 2001…”
