I apologize for not writing sooner but Elayne and I have been traveling, only recently returning to Scottsdale and since have been busy making plans to renovate and redecorate our new home. As you may recall we purchased our home in the Ancala community last November.
Needless to say, we are very pleased with the purchase but I am writing now to tell you how particularly happy we were to have worked with Susan Levy and Barbara Larner. They were unbelievably pleasant to deal with, first answering our many questions about the community(sometimes several times!) and then both diligent and prompt in searching out product to suit our budget and desires.
After seeing several properties we entered a contract to purchase a home in DC Ranch. Unbeknownst to any of us there were undisclosed legal issues which were unresolved and we withdrew our offer. This was accepted with equanimity and we then “shifted gears” and started the process anew. Sue seemed to be filled with energy and enthusiasm and made this entire process quite enjoyable and, when she was unavailable or when questions needed to be answered, Barbara stepped in and was equally pleasant and professional.
Having bought several homes, both my wife and I are “experienced” buyers and both of us thought this was clearly the best home shopping experience we have had. The interaction with the Seller’s agent before and after the sale was very professional, the assistance with the Title process and closing shepherded along smoothly. Most importantly, because of their advice and research, we feel we have made an ideal purchase at a phenomenal price. All in all, we cannot praise their assistance enough. Treat them well as they are wonderful ambassadors of your firm!

Different Class!
In Scottsdale, buyers and sellers of residential properties have a bewildering selection of realtors. Sometimes it’s difficult to make a decision about the company and individual who will best represent your interests in a potentially stressful and really costly project.
Who do you listen to? What are the key criteria for your choice?
These are the questions my wife and I faced in December 2014. We wanted to sell our home of 24 years in Gainey Ranch and it seemed that every one of our great neighbors and friends had a different realtor to recommend!!
I planned to meet 3 companies, based upon my appreciation of their marketing material.
I was fortunate to first meet Susan Levy and Barbara Larner of Realty Execs. Within ten minutes I had made a decision to offer them the opportunity and to cancel the other realtors.
Why?
They relaxed me immediately. I didn’t hear a single word of jargon; they were clear that they were experienced and professional (like most realtors in the area, they were quick to add!) and I liked their refreshing honesty about the process and the strong element of good fortune and timing. There was a telling air of confidence in their manner.
I was happy to entrust the task to these ladies and, in hindsight, I couldn’t have made a better decision. From January to mid February, I was updated each week. We conferred on various offers and ‘consumer sentiment’ and I adjusted the original price accordingly. Susan and Barbara were in full control.
My wife and I were in the Caribbean on a cruise ship for 21 days when the final negotiations were taking place – potentially a nightmare! So many signatures to transmit, so many detailed pricing and timing decisions to make!
Susan was amazing. Quiet words to past service companies about years-past work on the house, close discussions with the HOA and clear briefing to me on the documentation ensured that I was still able to enjoy Grand Turk, Curacao and Dominica et al!
Having Susan and Barbara working with me reminded me of days well past when I was supported by the best EA on the East Coast – utterly reliable, constantly looking after my best interests and always keeping me calm!
Whilst there are, I know, some first rate agents out there, I honestly don’t know how you can do better than have this team on your side.
