Empowering our community through the development of workforce housing.

A transplant from the West Coast, Carl's passion is workforce housing. Before moving  back home to Realty Executives I worked as a mortgage banker for a community bank. This role provided first hand insight into the regional housing crises.  Currently Burke and Caldwell counties represent the oldest housing stock in the state. This lack of new housing has led to a shortage of about 5000 homes in each country just to meet current demand.

My passion is bringing affordable homes to market as a listing agent as well as making land available to builders and shortening the time needed to break ground and having neighborhoods that integrate into the community. As a member of multiple local organizations including the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce, Centro Latino and the Unitarian Universial Church of Catawba Valley I have developed strategic relationships with local government, non-profits, and neighboring landowners to help facilitate this process.  The amazing part of my mission right now is this is a win win for everyone involved.  Land owners/sellers are seeing record sales prices for their homesites which allows them to provide for their families as they had previously not anticipated.  Builders are able to move into previously unavailable areas and create the workforce housing that is so desperately needed.  Finally full circle workforce housing for our educators, law enforcement, and first responders begins to come online.  Nothing brings a bigger smile to my face than the final step of this process when I get to hand the keys to a buyer who has dreamed of a new affordable home but has been out of reach.
