I grew up in Marine City Michigan and attended Holy Cross Grade School and High School.  After high school I went to Wayne State University and the University of Michigan.

In 1987, after I received my real estate license, I went to work for Real Estate Masters, where I continued to work for almost 10 years.  I was a member of the Million Dollar Club and received numerous awards from the company including largest sale, best team player (five years), best listener (4 years), amoung others.

In 1997, after much internal debate, I went to work for Citizens First as a Mortgage Loan Officer.  I was in the top 3 (out of 20-30) in mortage volume each of the 12 years I was with Citizens First and left the company just before it was taken over by Talmer Bank in 2010.

I owned Bistro 1882, a fine dining restaurant in Port Huron from 2002 until 2012.  In 2012 I opened Trio Restaurant on Quay Street in Port Huron, which is now The Huron Athletic Club.  We offer a variety of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, entrees and the areas only fresh made to order sushi.
