"You’re More Than Just Another Madison-Area Listing" - Jean Knickelbine, Realty Executives Cooper Spransy
For some agents, selling and buying homes is a numbers game. Jean Knickelbine of Realty Executives Cooper Spransy in Madison, Wisconsin does not do real estate that way; and couldn’t if she wanted to. To Jean, clients are always much more than a number. And whether buying a home or selling a house in Madison, Verona, Sun Prarie or any of the surrounding neighborhoods, Jean's focus is on the needs and wants of her clients. Realty Executives International sat down with Jean to see what differentiates her from the competition.
REI: What sets you apart as a real estate professional?
JK: I’ll take the time to understand what you’re looking for -- whether it’s the perfect home for your needs or top value for the home you’re trying to sell. It comes down to:
REI: What makes real estate the right career for you and why Realty Executives Cooper Spransy?
JK: Real estate is my passion-- homes are a passion of mine; I’ve bought them, sold them, built them and remodeled them. I love finding diamonds in the rough -- homes that can become gems with just a little polishing. I also delight in digging through listings to find just the right property. Before I became a REALTOR®, I'd research the real estate market for my family and friends in London, D.C., Portland and of course right here in Wisconsin.
I felt immediately at home with the professionals at Realty Executives Cooper Spransy. Warm, friendly people. Compassionate culture. Caring business philosophy. Honest and trustworthy reputation. Humanitarian efforts. And, with Realty Executives International, I've got the power of the one of the largest real estate companies in the world behind me -- but I'm in charge of my own business decisions. Perfect fit. I love what I do!
REI: You've got an incredible background in marketing, design and negotiation. Can you tell us more about that? How do you put that to work for buyers and sellers today?
JK: I founded an advertising, marketing and public relations firm with clients coast-to-coast. I earned hands-on experience with location photography, marketing and design. I judged national marketing competitions in New York and in Washington, D.C. The agency's own work was award-winning at local, regional and national levels. After almost 18 years, it was time for a life with less travel and more adventures close to home. A real estate career was the obvious choice. Buying and selling homes makes perfect use of my skills as a negotiator, a marketer, a designer, a researcher and a business-owner.
REI: Can you tell us more about life in Madison?
JK: I’m a Wisconsin native who moved to Madison almost 25 years ago. When I first moved here, I learned my way around town by driving randomly until I got lost, then finding my way home again. I explored hidden neighborhoods and cozy backwaters that few locals know about. Okay. I got lost once in awhile. My husband and I live in a quaint older home on a large wooded lot on Madison’s west side. I have two grown children and family who live in Sun Prairie and Janesville. And, we have a rescue dog named Esther.
If you are looking to make a home in the Madison-area, there are so many wonderful neighborhoods and options. If you or a loved one wants to know more, call me. Refer me. I pledge to do my very best by you and those in your circle. And, remember that no matter where you live in this big wide world of ours, chances are about 99.9% that I can do something to help you if you're thinking of buying or selling.
