Hi I'm Richard Hewitt, Realtor Extraordinaire

I grew up on the shores of Lake St. Clair where boating, fishing and a love of the water were ingrained in me. I spent many fall days hunting ducks on Canvasback Bay. Ice fishing and hockey were regular wintertime activities. I'm an avid fly fisherman with my favorite fly fishing spot being the North Branch of the Au Sable River; fishing for brook trout and browns. I find relaxation working in the family garden and my skills at the gas grill are known far and wide. My specialty, and a house favorite, is my grilled salmon. 

I married my high school sweetheart, Finola, and we have been married 42 years and counting. We have three grown sons, Alex, Andrew and Kavanagh that we are very proud of. 

I enlisted in the United States Navy where I trained as a hospital corpsman. I spent ten years in the Navy and served with honor and distinction. Following my discharge from the Navy, I attended St. Clair County Community College and obtained a degree in Nursing. I worked as an Emergency Room RN and retired five years ago after thirty one years of caring for the people of St. Clair County.

My passion for real estate got under way in 2004 when I began studying and attending seminars on real estate investing. I have received investor training from some of the biggest names in real estate investing and I continue to follow and participate with the likes of Ron LeGrand, Louis Brown, Patrick Precourt, former NFL player turned investor Than Merrill and brothers J.D. and Paul Esajian stars of the reality show Flip This House. I have experience working with short sales and rentals too. 

I like to immerse myself in real estate related topics. I am well versed on and keep current on trends in housing and market variations.

I am a member in good standing of the  Eastern Thumb Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
