1600 W Upshur Ave Highway The Learning Academy was constructed in 1996 specifically as a preschool & daycare center with 4, 000 sq. ft. and features a kitchen, 6 classrooms and 5 bathrooms. The center is licensed to accommodate up to 85 children. It boasts 3 fenced playground areas, including 1 tailored for toddlers with a deck and astro-turf areas completed in Fall 2023. The larger playground area offers multiple structures, ample space for activities and 2 recently installed shade structures. Additionally, there is a third fenced area currently utilized as a garden for the Pre-K class. All classrooms come FULLY FURNISHED for functionality. Major renovations were undertaken in 2014, including a new roof, new windows, and front door. The daycare employs 12 staff, some with long tenure.
