Are properties selling?

Absolutely, in fact, the last four Buyers I have dealt with have all been in a multiple offer situation.

Why is that?

First off, for a variety of reasons Buyers still need to Buy and Sellers still need to Sell. Secondly, we still have an exceptionally low inventory of properties for sale. When a property comes to market priced right Buyers do not hesitate to put in an offer.

Can Buyers view properties?

This is a property by property scenario. For the most part Buyers will have an opportunity to view properties. Sellers want to sell and with the guidance of a professional Realtor who will follow COVID-19 guidelines that are in place to ensure safe viewings for Buyers and Sellers most properties can be viewed.

What are some of the guidelines protecting Buyers and Sellers?

Here is a typical process that I have followed many times over the COVID-19 period. I will review a questionnaire with Buyers that pertains to COVID-19 symptoms, travel, exposing circumstances to confirm there are no concerns.

This information is kept on file and confidential. We also review some best practices while viewing the property. I will wear gloves and carry disinfectant wipes while asking the Buyer client to not touch anything and of course always maintaining our physical distancing. We will leave the lights on, doors open and washrooms intact just so we are limiting any touchpoints during the viewing.

Is this a good time to Sell?

Great question!! As the restrictions start to lift and we get back to business many Sellers are going to come to market at the same time. Therefore, more inventory and choices for Buyers. As I indicated earlier in this post, inventory levels are “exceptionally low” right now, so why wait for competition, get your property to market sooner than later.
