I’m a local realtor from the Coastal Bend area with Realty Executives Coastal Bend LLC out of Rockport, Texas. I service San Patricio, Nueces, Aransas, Refugio, Live Oak, and surrounding counties. I was born in Corpus Christi as Melissa Monroe. As a child I lived in Portland, Aransas Pass, Rockport and Ingleside but most of my life I have been in Ingleside, Texas. I went through Ingleside ISD myself as a child so that’s where I felt best to raise and enroll my kids. I was in the Ingleside High School class of 1999. The coastal bend is where I settled down, got married to my husband Larry and became Melissa Collins. My roots to the coastal bend are strong as it is what I have called home for all my life. I obtained my realtor’s license because I love helping people! I get to meet many different people in my line of work and I strive to the best of my ability to help each one no matter their situation. Some people need to sell a home to relocate near loved ones, or to downsize due to an empty nest, or to have a lump sum for retirement. Some people need to purchase a home due to a growing family, relocate to a place to call home near their work, or maybe they are just tired of renting and want to have pride in ownership. Whatever the cause may be, people reach out to me for a number of reasons and I try my hardest to achieve what they are requesting whether buying or selling. When you get me as a realtor you don’t get someone who is an 8 to 5 realtor. I am available for my client’s day or night. With a local realtor they are familiar with the area. This means they will know which areas are generally more popular and desirable to live in. This knowledge can help you decide your selling price or if you are a buyer the best places to start your home search. Your local agent will advertise your home specifically in a way that appeals to buyers in your local area, where as an out-of-town agent might not fully understand how to market to the town or city which could diminish your chances of selling for the price you want or could lead to paying too much if you’re looking to buy a home.
Working with a local real estate agent will prove to be more beneficial for you as a buyer or seller. No matter your situation you want someone who knows the area and has a full understanding of its real estate market. They have spent their entire career creating a strong network of relationships with buyers, sellers and other agents around them to benefit you.
