Rideau Lakes Info

Our Lockstations and the Rideau Canal

The Township of Rideau Lakes is host to 6 Rideau lockstations and 65 km of the Rideau Canal World Heritage Site. This section is arguably the most scenic section of the Rideau Canal, encompassing the central lakes portion of the canal.

You will find six short (6.5 minutes or less) photo tour videos - each featuring a lockstation and the waters (heading north) between it and the next lockstation. These just provide a small taste of what you will see on your visit, whether by land or water, to the Township of Rideau Lakes.

Click on the start arrow in the middle of any of the videos to start it playing.
