If you're like me, after the holiday rush is over you realize how dreary winter can be. Days are short, nights are long and there's never enough daylight to get everything finished. Then all of a sudden it's February and you're thinking "where did the time go". However, there is one thing that sparks my optimisim and that is the early signs of spring. There's noting like seing the daffoldils beginning to pop through the forzen ground on a cold day or seeing the buds on trees begin to form. These signs let me know that spring is on the way and summer is not far behind.
Another sign of spring I notice as a drive around is all the for sale sings that begin to pop up in yards. If you're thinking of buying or selling a home this year now is a great time to start. Statiscilly in early spring we begin to notice an uptick in houses being offered for sale. This trend continues steadly upward peaking in mid June to mid July.
When is the best time to list your home on the market? Listing your home in the spring offers the benefit of less cometition from other houses. Also, with current inventory levels buyers are quick to react to purchase a house before it's gone.
