Spirits were high as Realty Executives Premier, a real estate company based in Valparaiso, hosted their public and official grand opening of their brand new location in Crown Point.
Several locations were considered for the new office, including spaces on Broadway and areas in Winfield. However, the company hit a stroke of luck when they caught wind of the Crown Point location’s availability before it even went to market.
“We love being in downtown Crown Point,” said Pam Tezak, who runs the agency alongside her husband Mike. “We started in downtown Valpo, so we decided to continue that downtown trend in Crown Point; we could not be happier with the location,” continued Tezak.
Realty Executives has enjoyed huge success, ranking number one in revenue and sales the past 3 years in Porter County. With such abundant progress, it is clear they are doing something right, and many people attribute their prosperity to the outstanding company culture they have built.
“We are all about climate and culture,” explained Tezak, “A lot of companies have their agents engaged in a lot of closed-door competition against each other. Our agents are also competitive, but it’s very collaborative and supportive; they really cheer each other on and want to see each other succeed. We don’t want closed doors, it’s just not who we are.”
Company culture is crucial in today’s business world, and people are definitely taking notice of this one. In fact, several agents decided to switch companies to work directly for Realty Executives at this new location. Real estate agent Alex Nickla was one of them.
“I picked Realty Executives because of their leadership. I’m a big fan of Mike and Pam and what they’re doing here,” said Nickla, “they just have the right mindset and great hearts; they have their agents’ best interest in mind.”
As a leader of a young team, Nickla was drawn to Realty Executive’s high energy and positive culture.
“In real estate there’s a lot of old school culture,” continued Nickla. “We’re a young team, we’re looking for the culture of people not just being coworkers but being friends and partners; we wanted a place where we could grow and get better together.”
Steve Jamrock, another transfer executive, also commented on the notable work environment.
“I really believe in the culture that Realty Executives brings,” said Jamrock, “I was in real estate for 15 years, and every opportunity I had to work with someone from here was phenomenal. The transactions were always smooth, agents always very capable and well-represented. Mike looks after his agents as well as he does his clients; that’s what attracted me the most – they want their agents to succeed.”
Not only does Realty Executives strive for a desirable company culture, but also for a great relationship with the community they serve as well.
“We want to be part of the conversation of what happens in downtown Crown Point,” said Tezak. “We want to see it grow and are excited to watch it happen.”
With a thriving company culture that only seems to be expanding and a prime location in the center of Crown Point, Realty Executives’ new location is sure to make its mark.
