Realty Executives International is excited to announce the opening of a new real estate brokerage offering real estate services in northern Georgia and southern Tennessee. Realty Executives Terra Firma, led by CEO/Broker Ann Bowman, is located at 720 S. Glenwood Avenue, Suite 210, in Dalton, Georgia.
Bowman was born and raised in Dalton and feels a strong connection to the community. Before venturing into the real estate industry, she worked in several different areas including carpet mill work and office administration. Despite living in the “Carpet Capital of the World,” Bowman found those types of jobs confining.
Bowman had dreamed of being a realtor since she was about six years old. “Every Thursday evening, my mom and I would go grocery shopping. While she was shopping, I would be sitting under the shopping cart looking through the real estate magazines that were then available outside most grocery stores,” Bowman said. “There was one particular agent I was fascinated with- she always had lots of listings in the magazine. I would tell my mom I wanted to build and sell houses when I grew up and be just like that agent.”
Bowman began selling manufactured homes in 1998 before moving to mortgage loan origination. She obtained her real estate license in 2001. Deciding to start her own brokerage was an easy decision, and a natural next step in her career journey.
“I made the decision to build my own brokerage primarily because I wanted to share my years of experience and knowledge with other agents and clients. I am a firm believer in ‘The Golden Rule’ and that is how I want my business to operate,” Bowman said. “I chose to partner with Realty Executives because their like-minded belief has created a positive company culture, strong reputation, and longevity in the industry.”
