So, you can weave around Seville and find entertainment around every corner including a different bar to order a drink.
There are always about two different live bands playing in Seville Quarter, one more for dancing, and one for watching. Sometimes it can be country or classic rock, but you can always check the calendar on their website to see which band is coming through each weekend. The calendar also lets you know of different events throughout the week like karaoke, happy hours, wine tastings, or other special entertainment.
Seville Quarter is also known to be a destination because of the Dueling Pianos that perform Wednesday through Saturday nights. If you’ve never seen Dueling Pianos, it is definitely worth checking out. People submit their requests with a tip and the two performers add their flare to popular songs that gets the whole room singing along. They are interactive with conversing with the audience and great for groups of all ages!

With fun lights, fog, and energetic music from Early 2000’s rap to EDM, you’ll quickly work up a sweat!
So, put on your dancing shoes and try out Seville Quarter at your own pace because the venue offers a great variety of entertainment depending on your mood!

Unlike other coffee shops, Refuge does not have anything pre-brewed. So, if you’re pressed for time, this isn’t going to be your place. However, the coffee is worth the wait! The baristas are young, hip and friendly—pouring the milk in your cappuccino with the nice design or explaining the different blends and flavors of coffee beans for your pour-over. Nothing is overly sweetened, but only light notes of honey or an aromatic hint of lavender in a latte. This place is all about the integrity and artistry of coffee in its pure form.
You’ll find college students here since it is located across from Coastal Alabama Community College’s campus, or the entrepreneur who works from his laptop. Most people stay for an hour or more to enjoy community or take advantage of the quick WIFI. It’s an open layout but still a small space, so it’s not ideal for large groups. Yet you can easily engage with a stranger as with most of Fairhope, it’s all about the calm, coastal vibes.
If you do want to meet a group of friends, The Coffee Loft is an eclectic environment of different seating arrangements that have separate nooks to converse or study. Just like the environment, you’ll find a diverse crowd from high school to retirement. The Coffee Loft is a great communal spot for the locals!
Page & Palette is a great one-stop-shop for coffee, shopping, drinks, and entertainment. Page & Palette is a bookstore and gift shop connected to Latte Da, the coffee and ice cream shop, and The Book Cellar, the bar and entertainment room. Depending on the day or week, Page & Palette always has some form of entertainment with a visiting author or musician for book signings or singer-songwriter performances! Also, during First Friday’s Art Walk or Fairhope parades, it’s a great stop with some outdoor seating. This is a signature place in Fairhope because of the location and the variety it offers! And as far as the coffee goes, the Hue Hue Cold Brew will keep you energized! Or for those with a sweet tooth, you’ll find a lot of dessert coffee options.
Fairhope takes coffee so seriously that it actually has its own roasting company located in Warehouse Bakery! Great for families, visitors, retirees and everyone in between, Warehouse Bakery houses Fairhope Roasting Company. With an open layout, everyone can see through a glass separator the coffee beans being roasted! Also, if you bring your own mug or cup, you get a discount on coffee! The scones are delicious, but honestly, all the baked goods are! Warehouse Bakery offers great breakfast and lunch dishes when you need more than just coffee!
All in all, Fairhopians value their coffee! So, stop by and enjoy all the great coffee shops that Fairhope has to offer!

Last May, Alabama unveiled a new Interpretive Center and East Pedestrian Bridge, a $7 million project that is only the first of many Gulf State Park enhancements to come. The center and bridge is nicknamed the “gateway” into the park, which boasts 6,150 acres of sunshine and beauty. Part Two of the $140 million “enhancement project” is a new conference center and Hilton Hotel, adding 350 rooms for sun-and-sand seeking vacationers, anticipated to open November 1.
Chris Blankenship, commissioner of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, hopes that the Interpretive Center will give insight to visitors and highlight the many things to appreciate about the area. “The Interpretive Center will help explain what makes the State Park so great,” Blankenship said to AL.com.To Blankenship, Gulf State Park is more than just a beach. It holds personal sentiment. “I’ve been coming here since I was 3 years old, when we moved to Mobile from north Alabama,” Blankenship said at the bridge opening, West Alabama Watchman reports. “I have such great memories of the campground, the beach, the old pavilion and the old lodge and conference center. This is a great place. My daughter was married right out here on the beach. But this park is more than just the beach. At Gulf State Park, we have dunes, lakes, marshes, maritime forests, uplands, pine tree groves, oak bottoms, deer, raccoons, alligators, beach mice, insects like butterflies, and birds of all kinds, including birds of prey.”
Visitors can expect to be blown away with all that the Interpretive Center has to offer. General purpose rooms, a covered porch featuring interactive exhibits, amphitheater seating and benches with a fantastic view of the beach, restrooms, and more. It is the best starting point for trails that loop throughout the park – all 28 miles of them. The center will also vividly describe the park’s natural history and evolution of the park’s ecology. Not only is the Interpretive Center meant to educate visitors, it is also environmentally friendly. The building has been certified as a “Living Building”. “The building is made from materials that are safe for the planet, safe for the people and are all sourced here,” explains Bill Bennett of Valor Hospitality, the company under contract to facilitate the park’s new additions. “The Living Building designation is very significant. In January of 2018, there were only 16 Living Buildings in the entire world, and we’re lucky to have one here on the Gulf Coast of Alabama.”
The pedestrian bridge, which crosses over East Beach Boulevard, is a feature that piqued Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey’s enthusiasm. “It will serve as an entrance for our neighbors and partners in Gulf Shores,” Gov. Ivey said. “Let’s be honest,” Gov. Ivey added. “On a day like today, this is where everybody wants to be – in Gulf Shores. There’s no other place on the Gulf Coast that is more perfect and beautiful. That’s the reason we want to protect and continue to grow this part of our state.” The East Pedestrian Bridge is one of two bridges included in the enhancement project, and is intended to vastly improve the safety of beach passage and increase ease of beach access.
