Ancala Country Club is a Guard Gated Community on over 850 Acres in Scottsdale Arizona. This prestigeous neighborhood is just minutes from the 101 Loop in the McDowell Mountain Preserve. The 450 houses here range from $1,500,000 to over $6,000,000.
There is a community park with a basketball court, barbecue, picnic tables and a restroom. Many residents ride golf carts and bikes throughout the day on the hilly streets.
MEMBERSHIP: ANCALA GOLF CLUB. One of just three Scottsdale Golf Clubs with availability, according to the membership director November 2024. Non-equity membership averages around $38,000 with $1,250/month and there are "never assessments" for improvements made. Membership includes golf on one of the best golf courses in Scottsdale (speaking as a past member). The fitness facility recently underwent $1.5million in rennovations and is located next to the heated junior olympic sized pool. During a recent visit, I found the vibe to be vibrant and active, not too busy, with well-attended fitness classes in the yoga/athletic room. There are two lighted tennis courses (the Scottsdale Association for Pickleball is just 1 mile away).
SCHOOLS: Desert Mountain High School / Mountainside Middle School and nearby Anasazi Elementary. Many families locate here for the internationally known Basis Academy nearby.
FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT: Ancala was named after a rock and flower garden in Scotland. The land was purchased originally in 1937 by Frank Lloyd Wright. His famous Taliesin West is just outside the west side gates.
This exceptional Golf Course is a TREAT! Optional Club Membership provides residents with access to this amazing private course, known for views and tight aim. The clubhouse is one of Scottsdale's best kept secrets (I rented out both restaurants for my daughter's 13th birthday fashion show event). The elevation provides spectacular views from the patio deck and abundant floor to ceiling windows. The food is fantastic and happy hour vibe is worth a daily stop to relax and unwind overlooking some of the most spectacular Sonoran Desert sunsets.
