The Milwaukee-area housing market continued its spring momentum in April as sales of existing homes rose 13.4% from the same time a year ago.
A monthly report by the Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors showed sales increases in all four metro counties, helping the area post its highest level of April sales since 2006.
"We are experiencing an epically strong home selling market in the Milwaukee metro area," Realtor Steve Bergelin said Tuesday. "While many homes are attracting multiple offers within just a few days of being put on the market, some homes that did not sell last year have sold this year."
Bergelin, of Realty Executives Integrity Lake Country, said the jump in home-buying is being fueled by an improved economy and low mortgage interest rates. Click here for the full story.
